Michigan Duck Hunters Association
Our meeting was brought to order at 1815 by Chapter President, Roger Courey. Treasurers report was reviewed. Motion was made to accept the Treasurers report and the motion carried.
Roger reported that he received notice from the IRS and that our name is now officially changed to Maple River Wildlife Association.
Roger reported that we had the highest gross for the golf outing. Next year's outing will be held on September 20th. Roger reported that there are opportunities to purchase prizes for the outing throughout the year. There was a motion to allow Roger to purchase prizes during the year with in the Outing budget. The motion carried.
Maple River Projects - Chad reported that we have the wood for the observation tower. It will be stored for the winter and the project will be planned sometime next spring. He also reported that seeding will continue throughout the year. A winter work day will be scheduled at a future meeting. He also reported that duck boxes are needed in unit D.
Crooked Foot Vets Hunt - Roger reported that the Vets hunt was a total success. About 80 vets participated in the event.
Budget - All budgeted items are pending.
DeWitt Archery program - Jamie G. will provide a schedule of events for the DeWitt Archery program at the next meeting.
2019 meeting dates the next meeting will be our Sponsors Holiday Celebration at Todd Russnell's residence in December. 2020 dates TBA.
New Business - Election of Chapter officers will be held at the December meeting.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 1928.
